I once was Blind
And I still cannot see
Yet I step down this path
Amazing Grace leading me

I am convinced in the things I cannot see
because your Word is my cup of tea.

Life goes beyond the symbols we see that represent. So take action in what you hope for, be confident in what is not seen. His spirit will intercede and be the only symbol represented.

A Cup of Tea

Graced with the elegance of your presence
My fears not only suppressed and regressed, but absence

Our table was set for two
It is my soul you woo

You began to fill my cup, with tea of satisfaction
My heart restored, a divine notion

Go and share the tea of preservation
Sharing the sugar, with His appointed reservation

Acquiring over and over, the cup empties it self
Surrendering, Reinventing filling it self

Pursue Thought.

Walking down a dirt road in anticipation to meet your friend. This road is surrounded by forty foot, rich oak trees, setting your mind at ease. Hearing the crashing waves in a distance, as the wind ruffles through the scattered leaves. You walk along part of the Western Shore. A sense was awakened in you perhaps you’d never had before. It was as if you were longing to be apart of this simple Glory the “Laws of Nature” were radiantly displaying.

This sense or calling for a longing to be apart of Glory can float to the surface of our desires through a number of different experiences. It may be through observing the power of the sea, the thought of a foreign country, taking up a subject of study that interests you, when you first fell in love. Yet when we get to the principal of this desire that is awakened by any given circumstance, we find this longing to be apart of Glory exists because you are being human. A created, made in the Imagine of its Creator.

When and if this desire, which may still be laying dormant in you, arises. It is necessary to dwell on it. We are beings created with an Eternal Purpose. The desire to be apart of Glory is a heavy yearning, not easily satisfied with the fragments from this world. Yet, often easily deceived to be. The truth is the best travel, an exciting stoke, the most studied subject, a radiant lover, can never really satisfy.

The desire to be a part of the Glory that lies beyond these experiences, which usually awakens in us, when we have an experience that is overly enjoyable; but still something has evaded us. This desire is there with a purpose. There is Glory that lies beyond theses experiences that satisfies, and gives a whole new meaning to love, travel, learning and the sea.

Before we get to this Glory, lets ask the question “ Does this desire really have purpose?” To answer this we use a logical argument based on observation.

i.                Whatever begins to exist has a purpose

ii.              This desire began to exist

iii.             Therefore the desire has a purpose

Glory. The purpose of this desire, that is unfamiliar to all this world has to offer, can only be met through the reconciliation blood of Jesus Christ. That sanctifies us, to be full and complete with God. Giving us Eternal Purposes. That we should Pursue His Life, Loving others as Christ has Loved us.

The benefit of knowing God. Is satisfaction of the deep yearning He placed in us, to Live the life worthy of His purpose for us.

At the end of the dirt road you finally reached you’re friend, though you didn’t know it was going to be your best friend.

( Ecclesiastes, Matthew, II Corinthians 5:21)

Transit

My heat is in transit
to the pacific, from atlantic
I placed it in an envelope
You’ll get it soon I hope.
The Time has come the moment’s here
Where well share our deepest dears
I find it, my feelings that is, growing has my heart nears
Your fingers, when shall you open it, and rest my fears

Love To Bring Him Glory (not to fulfill a need)

John 13:31-35 (Read This)

“Love one another, just as I have loved you. This is how people will know you are my disciples.”

To fully grasp the depth of this commandment, God needs to reveal His character of Love to us. A true understanding of this love can only come from God opening your heart and pouring it in. Its my prayer as you read these thoughts on Love. The Lord reveal Himself to you. Allowing you Love. Simply so people will see his Glory.

Lets frist begin with how the man of flesh loves. St. Augustine describes his “state of emptiness” after the death of his near friend Nebridius; written in (Confessions IV,10) “All human beings pass away. Do not let your happiness depend on something you may lose. If love is to be a blessing, not a misery, it must be for the only Beloved who will never pass away”

Augustines thought here is brillant. Do not invest your love in something that is passing away, it may lead to suffering. Yet, we see here that Augustine, loving Nebridius was rooted in a need for Augustine happiness to be fulfilled. When Nebridius no longer could fulfill the need of happiness for Augustine. Augustine was sent to a state of desolation. Prompting his confession to never loving anything but God.

The root of this love, to remove ones heart of anything that might cause suffering. Putting it only in Christ, because then you no longer will suffer. Its rubbish, derived from a selfish desire while taking Our sweet suffering saviors name in vain. To live a life of guaranteed insurance against heartbreak. God Himself does not offer this, (See Example; The life of Jesus)

C.S. Lewis also focused on the thoughts of safely investing your love. He writes (Four Loves) “There is no safe investment. To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket- safe, dark, motionless, airless- it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. The alternative to tragedy, or at least tot he risk of tragedy, is damnation. The only place outside Heaven where you can be perfectly safe from all the dangers and perturbations of love is Hell… Christ did not teach and suffer that we might become more careful of our own happiness!”

This not only causes us to not love others, but hardnes our hearts to accepting a love from suffering.

An understand that this false love that seeks comfort and happiness, robs us of the deep yearning for Joy we have in Christ. Allowing us to love one another, regardless of sufferings. It puts new meaning to these words by paul from galatians 2:20-21. I have been crucified (suffering on the highest of scales) with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but christ who lives in me. (Allowing us to love others, regardless of them hurting our happiness) And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (God was not after his own happiness in loving us, it was a gift) I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose. (If love was attained through our own happiness…what then has christ died for?)

God is love. (I John) Now, for my personal walk with Christ this was my revelation. The character of God was revealed. To love others, as He has loved us. We must start with His love for us. How does the nature and essence of the trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) Love us? In God, there is no “Need” or “Satisfaction” to be fulfilled. We must focus on the doctrine that God was under no necessity to create. Showing us that his love for us, was only for the purpose of gift. That He would love us and Perfect us. (Philippians 1:3-11).

Jesus is love. God who designed His love for us as a Gift. Also perfected and created in us the Need-Love.(This was what Augustine was speaking of) Our need for Him. Yet, knowing that the Need for God was unattainable through our actions, His Gift-Love was our sacrifice. He suffered, that we may attain Need-Love of Joy in Him. Not because He needed too, Because it was His Gift to Glorify God. Jesus fulfilled our every-need, so we then could love ( I John 4:19) others. Needlessly as He loved us, allowing our suffering to not be in vain, but for the glory of the Gospel.

Holy Spirit is Love. (John 14:15-31) God Himself, understood that the only way we can continue to love, without need. Is by His help. Through the blood of Jesus, our weakness was covered. God then sent the Holy Sprit to those who love Him, so we can continue to love others without the need to fulfill our own desires. Then revealing the power and glory of the gospel to others.

It is my decree today. Through the Holy Spirit, I am able to love God with need. Allowing me to love my future wife, my brother sister, fellow saints, and unloveable. without a need. Because through Christ it has been fulfilled.

Intent

The opposite of love, is not hate. Hate can and will empower love. The opposite of love… Indifference.

He didn’t sit back and do nothing. He gave himself to undeserving humanity. Ultimately, Jesus.

Be intentional.

“I’m a part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I’m a disciple of His and I won’t look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.

My past is redeemed. My present makes sense. My future is secure. I’m done and finished with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap living, and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don’t have to be right, or first, or tops, or recognized, or praised, or rewarded. I live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by Holy Spirit power.

My face is set. My gait is fast. My goal is heaven. My road may be narrow, my way rough, my companions few, but my guide is reliable and my mission is clear.

I will not be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice or hesitate in the presence of the adversary. I will not negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

I won’t give up, shut up, or let up until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, and preached up for the cause of Christ.

I am a disciple of Jesus. I must give until I drop, preach until all know, and work until He comes. And when He does come for His own, He’ll have no problems recognizing me. My colors will be clear!”
